DENNIS SWEENY
Dennis helps his clients take responsibility for their stagnant growth and pushes them to aggressively start dealing with the real problems that are stalling their sales. He works with customers to implement innovative and unique strategies to build new relationships with prospective new customers. He has performed his process in multiple industries and with numerous clients. Many of his clients refer to Dennis’s ability to land new business as “miraculous.” He blends hard work and persistence with humor and incredible energy and focus to put his clients in a position to land new customers they have coveted for years. His clients’ new customers truly include a “who’s who” of American Fortune 500 companies.
Dennis graduated from the University of Tulsa with a degree in business management and started his sales career while in college selling encyclopedias door to door. Although he failed miserably in this position, he learned the fundamentals of selling and went on to win numerous sales awards and promotions while working for his first employer, the NCR Corporation. While at NCR, Dennis sold manufacturing and accounting software and spent time in dozens of businesses learning the fundamentals of good business management.
Dennis earned his certification in Production and Inventory Management in 1986. In 1988, he spent a year traveling around the world, flying to Japan and visiting 10 other countries. After his return, he worked for nonprofits on the East Coast and then relocated to Kansas City.
In 1994, Dennis founded a business consulting firm and worked primarily with local Kansas City companies helping them grow their businesses and address their biggest challenges. Through his experience, Dennis created the business development services now offered at DSBC. Today, Dennis and his top-flight team conduct research, make cold calls, arrange meetings, develop strategies, and ultimately help close sales that have the power to transform a business. By managing the entire sales process, starting with lead generation, Dennis Sweeny and his team deliver results. Dennis relishes taking on an organization’s toughest problems and working with managers to make a real difference.
Dennis is an accomplished writer on the subject of business growth. He is the author of “Opening the Door to New Markets,” published in the Kansas City Business Magazine. Dennis is a frequent speaker on topics related to corporate growth and generating actionable business intelligence to empower companies to be successful. As Sales Consultant, Lori works with clients and prospects to help them grow their sales. She utilizes a consultative selling approach and focuses on bringing on new customers. Lori has over 20 years of selling experience in a variety of industries including Transportation, Banking, HR Management Services & Software, and Food Distribution. Lori was born and raised in upstate New York and did her undergraduate work at Niagara University. She has an MBA from the University of Buffalo.
While Lori was at Manufacturers Hanover Trust, she grew her sales territory by 100% and was promoted to Assistant Manager. At Roadway Package System, Lori doubled her quota two years in a row, and was named National Salesperson of the Year. This also earned her a promotion to Area Sales Manager. Later, she was promoted to Regional Sales Manager and achieved over 200% of quota in her territory. Lori was recognized as the Regional Sales Manager of the Year. In her role as Major Accounts District Manager at Automatic Data Processing, she once again achieved over 100% of her quota.
When she’s not at DSBC, Lori enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons. Her hobbies include playing the piano and watching lots of baseball games. Lori is currently the President of the Rockettes, the alumni moms of Rockhurst High School.

KAREN REILLY
Karen Reilly is a Strategic Sales Leader with sales experience in CPG for over 25 Years. Primary to her role with a national ice cream distribution network, Karen has led strategy development within a corporate environment as well as at the distributor level. The greatest enjoyment in her sales career came from developing growth strategy and working with her sales team, as well as the entrepreneurial distributor ownership to accelerate sustainable success.
Karen joined DSBC in 2020 with the opportunity to work with DSBC clients and the our sales consultant team to formalize and implement strategic sales plans. The rigorous execution of the sales process, and the success that DSBC has achieved with clients impressed her and here goal is to continue in the tradition of sales excellence established at DSBC.
Karen enjoys several interests outside of her professional role, primary of which is her three children, Molly, Mattie & Bernie. All three are young adults pursuing their life’s interests, and Karen remains most proud of them. Beyond family, Karen is a developer of urban homes in Kansas City with a partner bringing quality homes for resell and rental into historic Kansas City neighborhoods. On a sunny day, you might find Karen on a golf course swinging away and trying to improve her game!

Paul is resourceful and results oriented. His experience includes responsibilities as a sales professional, sales manager, business consultant and business owner. Paul has operations experience across multiple industries including aviation, business and home services, real estate, telecommunications, and business consulting. He has an exceptional history of increasing revenue and market share for his clients. Paul is a talented prospector and consistently produces meetings with high value prospects. Paul brings an outstanding skill set that includes technical problem solving, sales expertise, a strong sense of professional integrity, networking abilities, and follow-up talents to any organization seeking to boost revenue and profitability.
He developed a cleaning business and grew it to be a major competitor in eight locations across the country with more than 250 employees. Paul has had great success in the commercial aircraft maintenance business. He managed an aircraft paint business from launch to 103 aircraft painted with total sales of $5.3 million in the first year. He has been a pilot since he was a teenager, owned his own aircraft and has several thousand flight hours.
He has lived in the Kansas City area since he was a teenager, is married with two children.
